Birding Tour In Corbett
In winter bird watching in Corbett National Park is the way to explore the western Himalayan avifauna; Nainital is the perfect base and scenic hill station in Kumaon region. This hill station has altitudinal variation of 400 m to 2600 m, giving the whole region a varied bird life. It is a real surprise that more than 660 bird species have been reported here. Nainital and the neighboring hills forested with oak and rhododendron yield Orange-flanked Bush Robin, Spotted Forktail, Chestnut-crowned Laughing Thrush, Red-billed Blue Magpie and Black-headed Jay.

The Emblematic Birds Of State
In Arkansas the State Federation of Women's Clubs sponsored the Mockingbird for official honors. A campaign was conducted under the direction of Mrs. W. A. Utley, this bird being the overwhelming choice. When the matter was first presented to the Legislature most of the members thought it a huge joke, but when they were given two stirring addresses that told them a lot of things about the value of the mockingbird to the farmer, they voted unanimously for the measure and it was signed by the Governor in 1929.
